# MobiVerse

> MobiVerse is a local-first ebook and comic converter for macOS and Windows. It converts DRM-free MOBI, AZW, AZW3, CBZ, CBR, ZIP, and PDF files into polished EPUB 3 books for Apple Books and modern EPUB readers. Files stay on the user's computer.

MobiVerse does not remove DRM. The macOS release bundles the required conversion components, so readers do not need a separate Calibre installation. Converted EPUB files are saved beside the source file by default without overwriting an existing EPUB.

## Current macOS release

MobiVerse 2.5.0 (15), released on 2026-08-24, adds an immersive auto-hiding EPUB reader, single-page, two-page spread, and continuous-scroll comic modes, direction-aware navigation, adaptive canvas colors, image preloading, and a smoothly scrolling Browse download list with per-record removal. Release validation copies the final DMG app into a clean Applications-like directory, detaches the installer, verifies the installed signature, and cold-launches with fresh preferences. The release passed 51 macOS tests and 55 Windows core tests.
